Captive Mines

Century Cement has its own Captive Mines with rich limestone reserves at a distance of about 1.5 kms from the plant. Due to close proximity to plant, transportation cost is very minimal in comparison to other plant. The mines' working is fully mechanized. The aesthetic view of the surrounding area has been maintained by afforestation of the mining are and also by creating water reservoir in the excavated area.

Captive Thermal Power Plant

Century Cement had commissioned its first Captive Thermal Power Plant of 15.7 MW in the year 1997. To meet the need of the hour and in order to reduce the cost of production, so as to be competitive, second Captive Thermal Power Plant of 11 MW has been commissioned in the month of April, 2006.  With the commissioning thereof, the total installed capacity of captive Thermal Power Plant at Century Cement Plant has now increased to 26.7 MW which will cater to about 90% of requirement. Both the Captive power plant is equipped with air cooled condenser which has been commissioned in June 2011.
Logistics

Strategic location of plant put Century Cement in a very advantageous position so far as logistic is concerned.  The plant is situated on Mumbai - Howrah (via Nagpur) South Eastern Central Railway Main Line and is well connected with Highways enabling it to cater to the market of all major center
